After losing five straight regular season games to start off the NBA season, the once playoff hopeful Sacramento Kings looks anything and, everything from a playoff team.

Finally, this past weekend the Kings picked up two straight wins on the entirety of De’Aaron Fox's’ back.

Since his rookie season, the Fox has been outstanding. He IS the key to Sacramento’s success and, it seems that’s something Luke Walton must figure unless he wants to get fired again. In games where Fox shot less than ten times, the final score differential is –61, when Fox shoots more than ten times, the differential is only –2. It’s an enormous difference...

If Sacramento is serious about competing this season, they must rely more on the 21-year-old. Walton must allow Fox to find a rhythm, which will help the entire team. If Fox is hot, that leads to double teams which creates an open shot. It should be a simple enough system to follow.

If the Kings could ride a hot streak for the next two weeks or so and allow Fox to separate himself becoming a top guard in the league, the sky is the limit for this young roster. It’ll all come down to game planning behind the senior head coach Walton, who’s been less than ideal at best; since his stint as the interim head coach with the Golden State Warriors.

If all goes right, the and the Kings stay hot off the two consecutive wins they can easily contend for a 7th or 8th seed in the West and finally break there 13 year playoff drought. Time will only tell...
